Gordonton School is a full primary (New Entrants to Year 8) school 10km north east of Hamilton set in a tranquil rural setting.

We have eight classrooms where your children will be taught by enthusiastic and committed, professional teachers.

The Board of Trustees is dedicated to having a low child to teacher ratio in the school. Our school fees are set to ensure this occurs.

We set very high standards for our children's work and behaviour, and have systems in place to assist those children who are gifted and talented, as well as those who are in need of assistance with their learning.

A much envied English as a Second Language Unit operates with international students being assisted with their new language at our school.

There are three Rights and Responsibilities for everyone at Gordonton School.

The Right to Feel Safe
The Right to Learn
The Right to be Treated With Respect

The school is serviced by four Ministry Approved Bus Routes including two that come from town. Board subsidies for these may become available, depending on the number of users.

Our school is a very well equipped Decile 8. The new computer suite and library are areas we are particularly proud of. There is also a large assembly hall, two tennis courts, a basket ball court and a swimming pool.
